Olympic Knit Listing

Just some thoughts on the Olympics:

1. 2006 Winter Olympics, cool --- NBC's USA-centered, choppy, late night fare, not cool
2. Shani Davis, the first African American individual winter Olympic gold medalist, cool --- public fued with team mate, Chad Hedrick, not cool
3. Shaun "Flying Tomato" White, cool --- Bode "no show" Miller, not cool
4. Joey Cheek, cool -- Harvard Office of Admissions, not cool
5. Arakawa, the first Japanase woman to win figure skating gold, cool --- Michelle Kwan missing from the Olympics, not cool
6. Knitting Olympics, cool --- Running out of yarn with 7 rows to go, not cool

Ok, that is all I can think of for now...

I ordered another skein of the blackberry ridge yarn to finish Ene. When I knew I was running out of yarn, I thought maybe I could spit splice all the little bits left over, but that would not have worked. It's so frustrating because I need less than a yard of this yarn to finish.

I also joined a knitalong:

I plan on using Jo Sharp's Silkroad Aran Tweed in Jewel. But the thing is I already had 5 balls of this yarn in my stash; I ordered another 6 balls. I'm hoping the dyelots aren't too different. Am I just making trouble for myself?

I love that jacket! As to your dyelots, I would have to look at the pattern more closely, but if you can alternate skeins, you can usually get away with it unless there is just a huge difference in the color.

Love your cool and not cool list!
