Friday Morning FO: Little Arrowhead

I finished the Little Arrowhead Shawl by Pam Allen from Interweave Knits' free online lace projects. I used one skein of Blackberry Ridge Silk Blend Lace in Samarkand Blue from my stash and US6 addis. This was a pretty quick knit and I really like the finished scarf.

I will probably wear it more like this:

Is it weird...

that I've been carrying this around in my purse for the last couple of days? I'm thinking of ordering some for lotus blossom shawl.

Works in Progress

I've been knitting, but haven't felt like talking about it much. (I think it's mostly laziness...)

Here are a few projects I've been working on. This is Moderne Baby Blanket from the Mason-Dixon book, part of the Mason-Dixon KAL project.

I'm using Lorna's Lace superwash worsted. This is really a good TV knitting project.

This is Rabbitproof Scarf from the Morehouse Merino knitting book.

I'm using Morehouse Merino Lace. This is a garter stitch and you drop a stitch every so often. Small enough project to carry it around with you.

Finally, here is Little Arrowhead Shawl, a free online Interweave Knits pattern, by Pam Allen. It's part of the "Sweet Somethings" patterns. I'm using Blackberry Ridge Lace. (I had most of a skein left over from Ene's Scarf.)

So the big question is: will I ever finish anything?

Books Galore

I received some good mail yesterday:

Some of my favorite bloggers. Yeah!

One of my favorite places to shop for wool.

How can you not love a book with a whole page devoted to the dogs on the farm:

I really love this book: you learn how two urban professionals started this Merino sheep farm, you learn a little bit about Merino sheep and wool produced from these sheep, AND you get fabulous patterns. It's not a book with the latest trendy styles, but really a book I think I'll go back to for its great classic patterns.
